Carmelo Abela
Carmelo Abela (born February 10, 1972 in Malta ) is a Maltese politician of the Malta Labor Party (MLP). Since January 15, 2020 he has been minister without portfolio for sustainable development, social dialogue and the implementation of the election manifesto in the Abela cabinet .
He was Foreign Minister of Malta from 9 June 2017 to 15 January 2020 . Previously, he was Minister of the Interior from December 9, 2014 to June 9, 2017.
He has been a member of the House of Representatives since 1996 .
