Abela's cabinet
The Abela Cabinet has been the government of Malta since January 13, 2020 , and is headed by Prime Minister Robert Abela of the Partit Laburista (PL). The formation took place after the resignation of Joseph Muscat as Prime Minister and it replaced the third Muscat cabinet . The cabinet is based on the results of the parliamentary election won by the PL on June 3, 2017 .
