The government of Hungary under Viktor Orbán , which has been in office since May 18, 2018, is referred to as the Orbán IV cabinet .
In the parliamentary elections on April 8, 2018 , the conservative Fidesz party, together with its much smaller ally, the Christian Democratic KDNP , again achieved a two-thirds majority . When the government was formed, there were also serious changes in the government structure: the concept of super ministers , which had existed many times since 2010, was largely abandoned. The Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of National Development became the "classic" Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, respectively. Only the "super ministry" for human resources (education, health, culture, universities) was retained.
