The Cabinet Rutte III is on 26 October 2017, the 29th cabinet of the Netherlands since 1945. The Cabinet Ministers together with the King , the Government of the Netherlands.

The coalition consists of the liberal-conservative VVD ( Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie ), the Christian-democratic CDA ( Christen Democratisch Appèl ), the left-wing liberal D66 ( Democrats 66 ) and the Christian-democratic ChristenUnie .

On October 10, the party leaders of the respective parties, Mark Rutte , Sybrand van Haersma Buma , Alexander Pechtold and Gert-Jan Segers , presented the coalition agreement. The title of the coalition agreement is "Trust in the Future" (Vertrouwen in de toekomst) . On October 26, 2017, the new cabinet ministers and state secretaries took the oath of office on the Dutch constitution before King Willem-Alexander .

The cabinet had a minimal majority in the second chamber. In September 2019 a member of parliament left the VVD and founded a one-man faction (Wybren van Haga). Since then, half of the 150 MPs have stood behind the cabinet.

On January 15, 2021, the Rutte III cabinet submitted a resignation due to a financial scandal over child benefits ( Toeslage affaire ).

The cabinet consists of 16 ministers and 8 state secretaries. The VVD provides 6 ministers and 3 state secretaries, the CDA and D66 each have 4 ministers and 2 state secretaries, and the ChristenUnie 2 ministers and one state secretary.
