Karoline Eisenberger continued to run the butcher's shop after her husband's death in 1926, but probably moved in 1934 to her son and his family at Brunnengasse 10. In the same year she is said to have bought her son a butcher's shop there. Sales were still recorded, but after a continuous decline, they were almost completely absent in 1938. The Wiesbaden butchers were particularly exposed to the harassment of the National Socialists.

The Harfs probably lived in Gera until the early 1920s, because their daughter Carmen Helga Elfriede was born there on September 23, 1923. At the end of the 1920s they must have moved to Wiesbaden-Biebrich, because their name appeared in 1929 under the address Rudolf-Vogt-Str. 4 for the first time in the Biebrich address book. Elisabeth Weyrauch was Jewish, Fritz Weyrauch was a Christian, the couple had no children.

Fritz Weyrauch ran the paint and varnish factory Brandscheid & Weyrauch in Wiesbaden Biebrich. The company, an OHG, had three managing directors and existed until 1941, until that year trade tax was paid. The couple had lived at Nassauer Str. 47 since 1934. With the beginning of Nazi rule, the social pressure on people in so-called mixed marriages increased. Authorities attempted to separate “Aryans” from their Jewish spouses with bribes and threats. After 1938, a new marriage and divorce law legalized the annulment of "mixed marriages". Elisabeth and Fritz Weyrauch stood by their marriage regardless of official harassment.
