The couple had a textile store as a storey. The residential and business premises were initially at Helenenstrasse 13, from 1923 at Webergasse 58 and since June 1929 at Helenenstrasse 23. Business in the 1920s was not going well. The years 1929 and 1930 were particularly difficult. With the beginning of the National Socialists' rule and the associated boycott measures, the economic situation deteriorated further.
