July 2, 2009 | Arthur Levy came from an old Jewish family from Bierstadt. His father Julius Levy, ran in the Rathausstr. 19 a butcher's shop in Bierstadt, which had a slaughter license until 1933. Arthur also became a butcher and worked in his parents' business. Lina Levy, Arthur's mother, is the last member of the family to stay alone in Wiesbaden. On September 1st, 1942 she was also deported and came to Theresienstadt. |
