The business was so damaged by boycott measures by the Nazis since 1933 that the owners had to sell it to a former employee in 1935. | |

After Lublinitz was ceded to Poland in 1922, Paul Kornblum gave up his business there and moved to Wiesbaden. However, he did not sell his land or the houses he owned there. He owned securities and now lived on this fortune. When the city of Opole bought Paul Kornblum's house in Hindenburgstr. 37 purchases, 55,000 RM from the proceeds are immediately transferred to the Reich as Reich flight tax , obviously for the son. The rest will be confiscated via the security account, as will all securities before. The Kornblum couple are only granted a small amount of their own fortune for personal use. The son emigrated to the USA in 1939, his belongings and the ship passage as well as all taxes had been paid by the father. Pauline Kornblum dies on September 17, 1940, perhaps after being threatened with being forced into a so-called Jewish house . | |||

Bella Levitta was a hat maker. Her apartment and business were on Grabenstrasse in Rüdesheim, where she made hats for customers, primarily in the Rheingau, but also as far as Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. In December 1938 she moved to Wiesbaden, in April 1940 to Mosbacher Strasse 36. Here she worked for 35 RM per month, room and board for the Paul and Pauline Kornblum family. Pauline Kornblum has been sick for a long time, Bella Levitta takes care of the household. | |||

January 27, 2009 | At the age of 23, Ferdinand Blumenthal received his doctorate in chemistry in Basel. He then worked at Höchster Farbwerke , then as technical director at Boehringer in Ingelheim. In 1908 he became a partner in the Lembach & Schleicher chemical factory in Wiesbaden-Biebrich, and around 1920 with a partner he opened the "Chemische Fabrik Schwalbach AG" in Bad Schwalbach, from which he left in 1930. From 1930 onwards he settled down as a consulting chemist and set up the manufacture of chemical products according to his methods in various companies: for example, the lactic acid production for the Albert chemical works in Wiesbaden. He also worked on processes for the production of plastics from by-products of the petroleum industry. | |

In November 1918, Dr. Wilhelm Dreyer was transferred to the higher regional court in Frankfurt / Main as a higher regional judge. He enjoyed an excellent reputation. As recently as January 1933, an expert report said: “A judge with extensive knowledge, a very thorough working method and great talent. ... Suitable for the Reichsgerichtrat and member of the Reichsfinanzhof. ”Instead of being promoted, however, Dr. Dreyer was transferred to the Wiesbaden Regional Court in October 1933, citing the law to restore the civil service of April 1933. This law meant that Jewish officials lost their jobs. | |||

Eduard Heilbronn founded the Eduard Heilbronn department store in Aalen in 1903. In the face of increasingly violent persecution measures, Eduard and Frieda Heilbronn moved to Wiesbaden in 1935. In 1939 they were in Klopstockstrasse. 2 and finally they were taken to the " Judenhaus " Alexandrastrasse by the Gestapo . 6 quartered. In April 1940 Eduard Heilbronn was forced to sell the house in Aalen far below the actual value of 400,000 RM. At the end of August 1942, Eduard and Frieda Heilbronn were asked to report on August 29, 1942 to the synagogue on Friedrichstrasse, the collection point for the deportation on September 1. In view of the imminent removal, Eduard Heilbronn died there at the age of 68. | |||
