Ingrid van Engelshoven

Ingrid van Engelshoven (born July 12, 1966 in Delft ) is a Dutch politician of the D66 party . Since October 2017 she has been Minister for Education, Culture and Science in the Rutte III cabinet .

Life

Ingrid van Engelshoven studied political science and law at Radboud University in Nijmegen and at Leiden University . She works as a lawyer for the law firm Dröge & van Drimmelen . From May 12, 2007 to March 9, 2013, van Engelshoven was party leader of the 66 Democrats, of which she has been a member since the 1980s. From 2010 to 2017 she worked as a municipal alderman in The Hague .
