Cabinet Kok I
The first Kok cabinet formed the government of the Netherlands from August 22, 1994 to August 3, 1998. In the election of Tweede Kamer on May 3, 1994, the PvdA and CDA received significantly fewer votes than in the 1989 election. It took three and a half months to form a government ; then a coalition was formed from the social democratic PvdA and the liberal parties VVD and D66 , a so-called “purple cabinet” ( paars kabinet ).
composition
The cabinet consisted of 14 ministers and 12 state secretaries.
