The Sánchez II cabinet has formed the Spanish government since January 13, 2020. Sánchez was elected Prime Minister of Spain by the House of Representatives on January 7th and took office on January 8th after being sworn in. Sánchez's cabinet consists of members of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and Unidas Podemos , which is the first national coalition government in Spain since the Spanish transition to democracy in 1978. The cabinet follows the first Sánchez government .
