Ministry of Justice (Spain)
The Ministry of Justice of Spain ( Spanish Ministerio de Justicia ) is a ministry of the State of Spain . It is headed by the Minister of Justice (Ministro de Justicia). The ministry was established at the same time as the Second Spanish Republic on April 14, 1931.
In the Rajoy cabinet (under Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy ), the Spanish government since December 2011 , Rafael Catalá Polo has been Minister of Justice since September 29, 2014. His predecessor Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón had resigned six days earlier.
The Ministry of Justice is in Madrid (Palacio de la Marquesa de la Sonora, calle de San Bernardo 45).
The Minister of Justice is ex officio at the same time Notario Mayor del Reino .
