Joseph Muscat (2014)

The Muscat III cabinet was the government of Malta from June 9, 2017 to January 13, 2020 and is headed by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat of the Partit Laburista (PL). The formation took place after the parliamentary election won by the PL on June 3, 2017 , it replaced the second Muscat cabinet .

In addition to the Prime Minister, the cabinet comprises fourteen ministers (two fewer) and ten parliamentary secretaries, two more than before. All members of the government are also members of the Maltese parliament .

The renewed consideration of Konrad Mizzi due to his appearance in the Panama Papers was viewed critically . Muscat referred to the election results as well as Mizzi's expertise in dealing with Enemalta's problems . He was convinced that he would also successfully implement the upcoming reforms at Air Malta .

On January 13, 2020, after the resignation of Muscat, it was replaced by the Abela cabinet under Prime Minister Robert Abela .
