Cabinet Borg Olivier III
The Maltese Cabinet Borg Olivier III was formed in December 1953 by Prime Minister Ġorġ Borg Olivier of the Partit Nazzjonalista (PN). It replaced the second cabinet from Borg Olivier and was in office until March 1955.

After the second Borg Olivier cabinet was defeated in the budget deliberations on October 9, 1953, the three ministers of the coalition partner Malta Workers Party (MWP) resigned, so that new elections took place on December 12 and 14, 1953. These elections led to the following results: Partit Laburista (PL) 19, Partit Nazzjonalista (PN) 18 and Malta Workers Party (MWP) 3.PN and MWP then again formed a coalition government, which in the House of Representatives only had a wafer-thin majority of 21 to 19 Sitting decreed. On February 26 and 28, 1955, there were new elections, which led to the defeat of the PN-MWP coalition. Then the first Mintoff cabinet was formed in March 1955 by PL chairman Dom Mintoff .
