Joseph Muscat (2010)

From the elections for the House of Representatives on March 9, 2013, the previously opposition Partit Laburista Joseph Muscats emerged as the clear winner. It received 167,533 votes (54.83 percent) and was thus able to improve by 6.04 percentage points. In the 69-member House of Representatives, it has a clear absolute majority with 39 seats. The Partit Nazzjonalista (PN) of Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi , which has ruled since 1998, lost 6 percentage points and with 132,426 votes only got 43.34 percent, so that it could only have 30 members in parliament.
