When a football champion was determined in Thuringia for the first time after the Second World War in 1948 , the sports community (SG) Triebes took part in the Thuringia state class , in which 24 teams competed for the title. In their season, the SG Triebes only finished seventh among eight teams. So the sports community had to compete in the third-class district class of East Thuringia in 1949/50. For the 1950/51 season, the sports community was converted into the company sports community (BSG) , which continued to play in the district class until 1952, which was only fourth class after the introduction of the second-rate GDR league .

With the 1952/53 season, the BSG Aufbau was classified in the third-rate district league Gera , as the GDR football had to reorganize its league system at the district level after the liquidation of the states . In the district league, the BSG initially held until 1963. In 1961, the BSG changed the sponsoring company, which was now the city administration. This resulted in a name change to BSG Einheit. Between 1956 and 1963 the district league was only fourth class, as the third class II. GDR league existed at this time . After the 1962/63 season, the Gera district league was reduced from two to one season, and the ninth place of unit Triebes was no longer enough to keep the league. Then there was a constant up and down between fourth and third league until 1966, before the BSG unit could re-establish itself in the district league. Between 1973 and 1982 there were again nine seasons in the district class and subsequently again constant changes between the district league and the district class. The BSG unit spent the last four seasons up to the end of the GDR soccer league system in the fourth class district class.

In 1990, as a result of the change in economic conditions after the political change in 1989/90, the system of company sports associations collapsed. Members of the BSG unit Triebes then founded the registered association Triebeser SV. Its football team was classified in the newly created fourth-class district class East Thuringia in 1990/91, where it took third place. In 2009/10 Triebeser SV only played in the eight-class district league. When the team had been relegated at the end of the season, the sports club entered into a syndicate with FC Motor Zeulenroda and took part in the game as FC Motor II. Only youth teams compete as Triebeser SV.
