Virgilijus Valeika

Virgilijus Valeika (born August 25, 1958 in Jonava ) is a Lithuanian chemist and professor at the Technical University in Kaunas .

Life

After graduation in 1975 at the middle school Seta in kėdainiai district municipality Valeika graduated in 1980 the diploma study of chemical engineering as a chemical engineer at the Polytechnic Institute Kaunas (KPI). From 1980 to 1984 he worked as an assistant and from 1984 to 1997 senior assistant at KPI. On September 26, 1997, Valeika received her doctorate on tanned leather on the subject of Bekalkio šikšnų išdirbimo technologijos sukūrimas ir jos ypatumų ištyrimas at the Kauno technologijos universitetas . From 1997 to 1998 he worked as a lecturer at the KTU. Valeika teaches chemistry as a professor at the Chair of Physical and Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemical Technology at Kaunas University of Technology. New technologies of tanning belong to his research area .

His father was Anicetas Petras Valeika. His mother is Vanda Urbonaitė.

In 1982 Virgilijus Valeika was married to Violeta Čyžaitė-Valeikienė (* 1951) and has two daughters (Vanda and Vita).
