Carmen Geutjes

Carmen Geutjes (* 2003 in Neuss ) is a German pianist .

Life

Geutjes got her first piano lessons at the age of five. She lives with her parents in Duisburg-Süd and is a student at the Reinhard and Max Mannesmann Gymnasium . Since she was ten she has been studying piano at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf in the class of Paolo Giacometti. She has won prizes at piano competitions on a national and international level.

Concert tours have taken her through Germany, China, Lithuania and Spain as well as the Netherlands. She has been performing in concert halls since she was six. a. Mercatorhalle Duisburg, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Robert-Schumann-Saal Düsseldorf, Philharmonie Kaunas -Lithuania, Auditorio Medina Elvira Granada-Spain, Stadthalle Chongqing (China), Philharmonie Essen , Stadthalle Mülheim , Harenberg City-Center Dortmund.

Her repertoire includes works by composers from all musical eras, u. a. also Sergei Prokofiev's Toccata , the “Carmen Variations” by Vladimir Horowitz , the 1st Piano Concerto by Tchaikovsky and Petruschka by Igor Stravinsky .

  • 2018: 1st prize and special prize in the Bitburg piano competition
