Carmen Pierri

Carmen Pierri (* 2003 in Salerno ) is an Italian pop singer. She won the talent show The Voice of Italy in 2019 .

Career

Carmen Pierri was born in Salerno, later she moved with her family to Montoro in the province of Avellino , where she began to take part in smaller singing competitions. At the age of twelve she began to take singing and piano lessons. She was interested in soul and pop music . In 2019 she took part in Gigi D'Alessio's team in the talent show The Voice of Italy and won the final with the song Verso il mare . At 16, Pierri was the youngest The Voice winner in Italy to date. Due to her age, she was no longer allowed to appear on stage when the winner was announced (long after midnight). Shortly after her The Voice victory, she also made an appearance at the Seat Music Awards 2019 in the Verona Arena .
