Carmine Amoroso
Carmine Amoroso (* 1959 in Lanciano ) is an Italian screenwriter and film director .
Life
Amoroso completed his literature studies with a thesis on “Religiosity in the work of Pier Paolo Pasolini ” and started his own career as a director of documentaries for the RAI . In 1991 he wrote his first screenplay (for Mario Monicelli ) and worked with Lina Wertmüller . He also worked as a playwright and directed his first film, Come mi vuoi , in 1996 ; it was the first Italian film to deal with the transgender problem. Cover boy followed in 2007 .
