Carn Lês Boel

Carn Lês Boel is an Iron Age Promontory Fort (also called Cliff-castle) in the south of Nanjizal or Mill Bay in Porthgwarra southwest of Penzance , not far from Land's End in Cornwall in England .

The small foothills fort is located on the signposted south-west coastal path in an impressive setting. The remains of a shallow ditch and a wall can be seen. Two large menhirs (only one standing upright) probably mark the old entrance. There are no signs of settlement in the area of the Cap and there are doubts as to whether the ramparts and moats have been interpreted correctly.

Somewhat away from the rugged granite coast lies the “Higher Bosistow Cliff Tumulus ” and by the sea the “Lower Bosistow Cliff Cave” (cave).
