Great Fontane adaptation in Gera Ostthüringer Zeitung June 1, 2015

"Minimalist, clear and exciting every second ... Anyone who never loved Effi, who was always pissed off by the metaphorical grumbling about the Chinese and dragging curtains in the upper room, can see in Caro Thum's staging in Gera that this Fontane novel is not just for Germanic retreats a treasure trove. The viewer can throw off all ballast and watch people like you and me live and love. Thums “Effi Briest” tells of the facets of love - of lived and denied love, of selfless and merchantable love, of dutiful and thoughtless love. " (Angelika Bohn)

The great silence / breathtaking: Caro Thum stages Andrew Bovell's "End of the Rain" · Donaukurier December 9, 2012

"Although" The End of the Rain "deals with profound topics such as guilt, abuse and global catastrophes, it is not a difficult evening. It is about the great mystery of being human. And Caro Thum and her virtuoso ensemble tell of it with poetry, wit and Imagination. After almost two hours there is great applause. So: Be sure to take a look! " (Anja Witzke)

Kruso - Caro Thum succeeds in a congenial stage adaptation of Lutz Seiler's successful novel · Nachtkritik November 6, 1015 in Gera

(..) "Author Petra Paschinger and director Caro Thum did a lot, almost everything right. In their version of" Kruso "they focus on the story of the unequal friends Ed and Kruso." (..) "Caro Thum finds convincing images for the search for what cannot be found. The stage is largely empty, is kitchen and beach and train station and sleeping place " (Matthias Schmidt)
