The Carolina Cobras were an arena football team from Raleigh, North Carolina that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). The Cobras played their home games in the Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena .
history
The Cobras were founded in 2000 and participated in the AFL that same year. For the 2003 season, the Raleigh Cobras moved to Charlotte, not far away, but kept their name and logo.
The franchise was able to move into the playoffs twice, but they were denied a final.
