The Grand Rapids Rampage were an arena football team from Grand Rapids, Michigan that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). The Rampage played their home games in the Van Andel Arena .
history
The Rampage were founded in 1998. They made the playoffs six times in their franchise history. In 2001, the Rampage were crowned ArenaBowl Champion.
In their last season they moved into the Conference Finals despite only six wins and eight losses, but failed there against the San Jose SaberCats .
One of the championship players in 2001 was Terrill Shaw , who, in addition to some engagements in the NFL, also played in the training camp of the Berlin Thunder in the NFL Europe in 2002 .
At the end of the 2008 season, the Rampage were dissolved.
