Cryptocephalus flavipes is a beetle from the family of the beetle and the subfamily of cryptocephalinae (Cryptocephalinae).
Characteristics of the beetle
The beetle has a body length of 3.6–5 mm (females) or 3–4.2 mm (males). The basic color of the beetle is glossy black. The front and side seams of the pronotum and the front side seams of the wings are yellow. The first 4 antenna elements are yellow, the rest are dark. The legs are predominantly yellowish, sometimes dark in color. The head is colored yellow in the front area with a dark parting.
distribution
The distribution area of Cryptocephalus flavipes extends in the Palearctic from Western Europe to Asia Minor . The species is widespread and common in Central Europe. The species is not represented in the British Isles.
Way of life
The beetles usually fly from April to August. They are usually found on the edges of forests - on hawthorn ( Crataegus ), oak ( Quercus ), hazel ( Corylus ) and willow ( Salix ).

etymology
The addition of the name flavipes is derived from Latin : flavus means "yellow", pes means "foot".
