Caroline Lange , also Caroline Löning ( 1802 in Braunschweig - after 1852 in Stuttgart ) was a German child actress and theater actress .

Life

Long was the daughter of the actor Schultz and was used as a child actress from an early age. She first took the stage in Lübeck with her stepfather Hinze. For a long time she then made guest appearances in Schwerin, Wismar, Rostock, Hamburg and Magdeburg. Only in Bremen did she find a permanent job again. Here she married the British Rittmeister Löning, but still only plays under her maiden name. From 1882 to 1886 she was a member of the Breslau Theater, from 1826 to 1829 of the Aachen Theater and from 1829 to 1832 in Mannheim. In 1832 she moved to the Hofburgtheater . There she made the change from the subject of lively and tragic lovers to the mother subject. Allegedly for want of employment, she left Vienna in 1836 and accepted an engagement at the Hoftheater Stuttgart . There she filled the subject of tragic mothers and chaperones with life. In 1852 she retired. She stayed in Stuttgart, where she died a few years later.
