Caroline Rellstab (singer, 1794)
Caroline Rellstab , also Karoline , ( April 18, 1794 in Berlin - February 17, 1813 there ; according to other sources in Breslau ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Rellstab was one of eight siblings, three daughters (including Henriette Rellstab and Amalie, married Bennecke ) and five sons, including the poet Ludwig Rellstab , the musician and music publisher Johann Carl Friedrich Rellstab (1759-1813) and his wife Caroline Charlotte Richter. Already at a very young age she attracted a lot of attention as a concert singer. It was said that her voice reached a pitch that is rarely seen. Her career ended abruptly with her early death at the age of 19.
