Carrie Tubb

Caroline Elizabeth Tubb (born May 17, 1876 in London , † September 20, 1976 ibid) was an English oratorio, concert and opera singer (soprano).

Life

Tubb studied at the Guild Hall School of Music and Drama , where she taught for more than thirty years from 1930. She was best known as an oratorio singer, but also appeared in operas such as Richard Strauss ' Elektra and Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel (1910, Covent Garden Opera ).
