The Casa Lecocq is a building in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .

Casa Lecocq, built in 1794, is located in Ciudad Vieja on Calle Juan Carlos Gómez 1585, corner of Rambla 25 de Agosto de 1825 592 opposite the Bóvedas . There is no information about the architect of the structure, which is composed of two buildings and is an example of the Portuguese-Brazilian bourgeois colonial architecture of that era. The eleven-meter-high, two-story building was originally designed as the residence of Brigadier General Bernardo Lecocq . It has a floor space of 943 m² and now houses residential apartments, retail stores on the ground floor and serves partly as a cultural center and as the residence of the Cooperativa de Ayuda Mutua covicivi II . From 1994 to 2006 restoration work took place under the direction of the architect Raúl Vallés .

Since 1975 the building has been classified as the Monumento Histórico Nacional .
