Casa Pérsico
The Casa Pérsico is a building in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .
The building, built in 1926 on behalf of Augusto Pérsico for him and Felipe Iriart as a dental practice and residential building, is located in Barrio Centro at Calle Mercedes 1256-1262 , corner of Yí . Julio Vilamajó , Genaro Pucciarelli and Pedro Carve were responsible as architects . The Casa Pérsico has Spanish and Arabic influences in its architecture and can be assigned to the style of historical eclecticism . It covers a floor area of 230 m², the usable area is 920 m². The building, which was originally used as a residential and commercial building as well as a practice, now houses office space. The offices were used for years by the Vilamajó, Pucciarelli y Carve company . By the end of 2005 it served as the seat of then in other premises at the Aeropuerto Internacional de Carrasco relocated Dirección Nacional de Aviación Civil e Infraestructura Aeronáutica (DI.NA.CIA). In the future, the Casa Pérsico will house the headquarters of the Instituto Artigas del Servicio Exterior .
Since 1986 the Casa Pérsico has been classified as a Monumento Histórico Nacional .
