Caspar Thywissen
Caspar Thywissen (born June 26, 1801 in Aachen , † February 16, 1879 in Neuss ) was a German industrialist and entrepreneur.
Career
In 1839 he founded an oil mill with an oil business in Neuss. He was active as a city councilor and unpaid councilor for the city of Neuss.
Thywissen was married to Sophia Thywissen (née Kallen, born April 6, 1819 in Neuss; † November 24, 1889 in Neuss). The couple had 10 children together, including Wilhelm Thywissen , who later became an honorary citizen of the city of Neuss.
