The Castor Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is north-northwest of Larsen Point . Jason Island is just east of it .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It is named after the Castor , an escort ship on the Antarctic journey of the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Carl Anton Larsens with the Jason (1892-1894).
