The Castra Martis Hill (English; Bulgarian хълм Кастра Мартис wrach Kastra Martis ) is a 453 m high and prominent hill on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 0.55 km east-southeast of Leslie Hill , to which it is connected by a 418 m high saddle , and 4.1 km northwest of Melnik Peak .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in the course of surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after the Roman camp Castra Martis , the forerunner of the city of Kula in northwestern Bulgaria .
