The Castro Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Кастро wrach Kastro ) is a 306 m high mountain on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Hurd Peninsula, it rises 0.75 km south-southwest of the MacGregor Peaks and 1.87 km northeast of Binn Peak .
Spanish scientists mapped it in 1991. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2008 after the Spanish mountain guide Vicente Castro, who was involved in the first ascent of the mountain between 2003 and 2004 as a member of the Juan Carlos I station .
