Catherine Éléonore Bénard
Catherine Éléonore Bénard (* 1740 in Versailles ; † 1769 there ) was the daughter of Pierre Bénard, the king's stable master. She was one of the ladies-in-waiting of Princess Marie Adélaïde (1732–1800), daughter of the French King Louis XV. He noticed her and made her his mistress . She died giving birth to their daughter and Princess Adélaïde took over the sponsorship of little Adélaïde.
