The Caughley Beach is a beach on the west coast of the Antarctic Ross Island . It is the northernmost beach on the ice-free coast southwest of Cape Bird .
Participants in a 1958-1959 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition mapped and named him. It is named after the New Zealand biologist Graeme James Caughley (1937-1994), who was part of the team that visited Cape Bird on this research trip.
