Cayo Paredón Grande is an island in northern Cuba. The 8.8 km² Cay is located in the province of Camagüey , municipality Esmeralda and is especially popular with tourists for its white sandy beaches . It is connected to Cayo Romano Island in the southeast by a viaduct . At its northwest end is the Diego Velázquez lighthouse
