The Cellent GmbH (proper spelling cellent ) is an IT -Beratungs- and system integration companies in Germany with headquarters in Fellbach in Stuttgart with ten locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland . The business activity consists in the optimization of infrastructures and business processes through business consulting, software development, infrastructure solutions and managed services for large and medium-sized companies.

Cellent GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wipro Technologies .

history

Cellent AG was founded on January 1st, 2002 as a stock corporation . Cellent AG was created through the merger of the four IT companies bancotec , Intec , Positron and dvd under the umbrella of the then parent company Landesbank Baden-Württemberg . In 2010, Advanced Solutions GmbH was taken over by Cellent AG, which was then renamed Cellent Mittelstandsberatung. The sole director of the company from January 2013 to March 2017 was Peter Rohrbach. As part of the change of name from Cellent AG to Cellent GmbH, Peter Rohrbach was appointed managing director in March 2017. The current managing directors are Rajarshi Basu and Anandh Raghavan.

In Austria , Cellent's roots lie in Active Solution Software AG, which was founded in 2001. In 2008 it was taken over by Cellent AG Germany and with it the founding of Cellent AG Austria. As an integrated company of the Cellent Group, it now looks after the Austrian market. In November 2011, Cellent took over the SAP company Frontworx, which has been active on the Austrian market since 2001 and has since been responsible for the SAP business area in Austria as an independent subsidiary.

Cellent GmbH has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wipro Technologies since December 2nd, 2015 .

In November 2018, Cellent GmbH and Cellent Mittelstandsberatung GmbH merged into one company. The customer service of Cellent Mittelstandsberatung was integrated into the joint structure as a separate SME business unit.

Group structure

On December 2, 2015, Wipro Technologies announced the takeover of the Cellent Group. Cellent was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW). Cellent Mittelstandsberatung GmbH was a subsidiary of cellent GmbH from 2010 to 2018.
