1973 founded the Western Michigan University and the publisher Cistercian Publications , Inc. together the Institute of Cistercian Studies (Institute of Cistercian Research ) in 2010 as the Center for Cistercian and Monastic Studies (Center for Cistercian and monastery Research ) in the Institute for Medieval Studies of the same University was integrated. The center, which is supported by a Scientific Advisory Board , organizes colloquia and publishes the Monastic Life series as part of the Medieval Institute Publications of the MIP University Press at Kalamazoo .
