The 2007 Japan Football League was the ninth season of the Japan Football League . Eighteen clubs took part in it. The season started on March 18 and ended on December 2, 2007.
Sagawa Express FC won the championship. The extraordinary J. League members Rosso Kumamoto and FC Gifu rose in the two 2008 J. League Division on. Due to the two J2 promoted players and the merger of ALO's Hokuriku and YKK AP SC for the following season , there were no relegations to the regional leagues at the end of the season .
mode
The clubs held a simple double round tournament . There were three points for a win; in the event of a tie, each team received a counter. The table for each semi-series was created according to the following criteria:
- Number of points scored
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Results of the games among themselves
- Decision game or coin toss
For promotion to the J. League Division 2 2008 only clubs were eligible that had the extraordinary membership of the J. League , completed at the end of the season within the top four of the table and withstood a final review by the J. League .
The two worst teams were originally supposed to relegate directly to the regional leagues, and relegation games were also planned for the sixteenth against the third-placed team in the regional league finals . However, due to the merger of ALO's Hokuriku and YKK AP SC for the following season and two promoters to the J. League, relegation was completely suspended at the end of the season.
Attendees
A total of eighteen teams took part in the season. Honda Lock SC was no longer there, as bottom of the table in relegation games against FC Gifu , second in the regional league finals in 2006, had to compete and clearly lost both games. In addition to Gifu, TDK SC also rose directly to the championship of the RL final round; the club benefited from the merger of the two company teams from Sagawa Express, which a place in the league was.
Before the start of this season, after Rosso Kumamoto with FC Gifu , SC Tottori and Tochigi SC, three other clubs received the status of extraordinary J. League members . In the case of SC Tottori, this led to a name change, the team entered the new season as Gainare Tottori . In addition to Gainare, JEF Club , the reserve team of J. League club JEF United Ichihara Chiba , officially renamed itself to JEF Reserves .
