The 2013 Japan Football League was the fifteenth season of the Japan Football League . Eighteen clubs took part in it. The season began on March 10th and ended on November 24th, 2013. The season was dominated by the professional league J3 League, which was founded the following year .

The championship was won by AC Nagano Parceiro ; However, as in the previous year, the club was denied promotion due to its stadium, which is not suitable for professional football. The runner-up Kamatamare Sanuki was able to prevail in the playoffs against Kataller Toyama , the last of the J. League Division 2 2013 , and so move up to the J. League Division 2 2013. Furthermore, a number of clubs were accepted into the J3 League after the end of the season, in addition to Nagano Parceiro these were SC Sagamihara , FC Machida Zelvia , Zweigen Kanazawa , Blaublitz Akita , FC Ryūkyū , YSCC Yokohama , Fujieda MYFC and Fukushima United FC .

mode

The clubs held a simple double round tournament . There were three points for a win; in the event of a tie, each team received a counter. The table was created according to the following criteria:

  1. Number of points scored
  2. Goal difference
  3. Goals scored
  4. Results of the games among themselves
  5. Decision game or coin toss

For promotion to the J. League Division 2 2014 , only clubs that had the Extraordinary Membership of the J. League and withstood a final review by the J. League were eligible. For the first time, it was precisely specified that the champion rose directly and the runner- up had to compete in relegation games against a team from J. League Division 2 in 2013 . If one or both of these places were occupied by teams not eligible for promotion, there were no substitutes. Likewise, the runner-up could not “inherit” the direct promotion rights of the master.

Attendees

A total of eighteen teams took part in the season. The newly promoted J. League Division 2 2013 , V-Varen Nagasaki , and Sagawa Shiga FC , who announced their retirement at the end of the season shortly before the end of the 2012 season for financial reasons , were no longer there . The two teams were replaced by FC Machida Zelvia , who were the first team in J. League Division 2 history to be relegated from the league and so returned to the Japan Football League after just one year, as well as the two best-placed teams in the 2012 regional league finals , SC Sagamihara and Fukushima United FC . The third-placed Norbritz Hokkaidō was denied promotion to the JFL after a narrow defeat in the relegation against Tochigi Uva FC .

Prior to the start of this season, Branches Kanazawa and Blaublitz Akita were awarded J. League Extraordinary Status . The number of extraordinary members in the league rose to a total of six teams at the beginning of the season, which was not least due to the fact that with Machida Zelvia and SC Sagamihara clubs with this status from other leagues came to the JFL for the first time. During the season competed addition YscC Yokohama , Fukushima United FC , FC Ryukyu and Fujieda MYFC successful efforts to initially "Associate Member" mentioned status J. League Hundred Year Plan Association , which for the purposes of inclusion in the J3 League was created and had less stringent criteria.

Hoyo AC Elan Ōita changed its name to Hoyo Ōita before the start of the season .
