Kataller Toyama ( Japanese カ タ ー レ 富山 , Katāre Toyama ) is a Japanese football club from Toyama , the capital of Toyama Prefecture , currently playing in the J3 League .
history
The association was created at the end of 2007 through the merger of the company associations ALO's Hokuriku and YKK AP SC . Considerations about the merger already arose in 2005, but ebbed until YKK and Hokuriku Electric Power Company were able to agree on implementation. The desired goal was to reach the J. League.
The association received financial support from more than 20 other companies and the mayor of Toyama Prefecture also appeared at the association's press conferences. The established organization "Municipal Football Team of Toyama Prefecture" ( Japanese富山 県 民 サ ッ カ ー ク ラ ブ チ ー ム, Toyama Ken Tami Sakkā Kurabu Chīmu ), behind the YKK and Hokuriku Electric Power Company, applied to the JFL for the 2008 season to play .
In January 2008, the association submitted a membership application for the J.League, which was accepted on February 19. By reaching the qualification places at the end of the 2008 season, promotion to the J. League Division 2 for the 2009 season could be realized. There Kataller did not get beyond the last third of the table and finally rose at the end of the 2014 season as bottom of the table in the J3 League .
