Blaublitz Akita ( Japanese ブ ラ ウ ブ リ ッ ツ 秋田 , Burauburittsu Akita ) is a Japanese soccer team from Akita , Akita . The club currently plays in the third- tier J3 League .

history

The club was founded in 1965 as a works team for the Japanese company TDK . After reaching the Tōhoku Regional League in 1982, the club was promoted to what was then the second Japan Soccer League Division 2 in 1984 , in which they remained for two years.

The 2006 season ended the club the Tōhoku Regional League for the fifth time in a row and secured promotion to the JFL with a win in the relegation. In May 2009 TDK announced that the club would be separated from the company and will play independently from the 2010 season. During the season, the club was renamed Blaublitz Akita .
