Miyazaki ( Japanese 宮 崎 市 , Miyazaki- shi ) is a city and the administrative seat of the prefecture of the same name Miyazaki on the island of Kyūshū in Japan . Miyazaki owns a university .
history
Miyazaki-shi was born on 1. April 1924 by the merger of municipalities in the county Miyazaki Miyazaki Prefecture, including the city of Miyazaki ( 宮崎町 , Miyazaki- chō founded).

Attractions
- Aoshima , island with subtropical vegetation, designated as a ( special natural monument ), as well as the sea rock formations called "washboard of demons" (natural monument). Opposite the island is the Aoshima Subtropical Botanical Garden ( 青島 亜 熱 帯 植物園 , Aoshima Anettai Shokubutsuen ).
- Heiwadai Kōen ( 平和 台 公園 ), park with the 36 meter high "Tower of Peace" ( 平和 の 塔 , Heiwa no Tō ). This was inaugurated in 1940 in honor of the legendary first emperor Jimmu and the 2600th anniversary of his accession to the throne and was called before 1946 " Hakkō Ichiu Tower " ( 八 紘 一 宇 の 塔 , Hakkō Ichiu no Tō ) or " Pillar of origin of heaven and earth" ( 八 紘 之 基柱 , Ametsuchi no Motohashira ).
