The Miyazaki Airport ( Jap.宮崎空港, Miyazaki Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Miyazaki in Japan . The airport is located about four kilometers southeast of Miyazaki's city center, directly on the coast. From here there are currently (October 2018) domestic connections to Tokyo , Osaka , Nagoya , Naha and Fukuoka as well as international connections to Incheon , Taipei and Hong Kong . A piece of land had to be built up to extend the runway. Miyazaki Airport is a 2nd class airport under Japanese law .
