The J.League Division 2 2013 was the fifteenth season of the J.League Division 2 , the second division of the Japanese J.League . 22 clubs took part in it. The season started on March 3, 2013 and ended on November 24, 2013; on the following two weekends, the games of the promotion playoffs and the relegation between Division 2 and the Japan Football League were played.
Master was Gamba Osaka , the other climbers in the J.League Division 2 2014 were Vissel Kobe and promotion playoff winner Tokushima Vortis . Relegated to the Japan Football League in 2014 was Gainare Tottori after a defeat to relegation to the second-placed Japan Football League 2013 , Kamatamare Sanuki .
mode
The clubs played a double round tournament ; thus there were a total of 42 games per team. There were three points for a win and one point for a draw. The table was created according to the following criteria:
- Number of points scored
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Results of the games among themselves
- Decision game or coin toss
The two clubs with the most points went straight to J.League Division 1 2014 at the end of the season .
The third climber was determined by a tournament in the knockout system over two rounds between the teams in places 3 to 6. Here the third played against the sixth, the fourth competed against the fifth. The higher ranked team enjoyed home rights. In the event of a tie after 90 minutes, the better-ranked club advanced one round. The final took place in the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo , the winner was promoted to Division 1.
Up to two teams were relegated to the 2014 J3 League this season . The exact circumstances depended on the number of teams eligible for promotion in the first two places in the 2013 Japan Football League . In two such teams, the bottom of the table in Division 2 rose directly, the penultimate had to play in two relegation games against the JFL runner-up. If there was only one team eligible for promotion among the two best JFL clubs, the Division 2 bottom of the table rose directly if the JFL representative had become champions, otherwise two relegation games were held here as well.
Attendees
A total of 22 teams took part in the season. At the end of the 2012 season , Master Ventforet Kofu left the league after only one year for Division 1. The club was accompanied by second-placed Shonan Bellmare , who returned to Division 1 after two years, and the winner of the promotion playoffs Ōita Trinita , who prevailed against Kyōto Sanga and JEF United Ichihara Chiba and rose to the House of Lords for the second time after three years Division 2.
The three climbers were replaced by the three relegated members from the J.League Division 1 2012 , Vissel Kobe , Gamba Osaka and Consadole Sapporo . With Gamba, a veteran of the J.League had to go to the second division for the first time since it was founded, the club last played in the 1987 season under the name Matsushita . Vissel, on the other hand, returned to the House of Commons for the second time after six years in Division 1, and Consadole even had to return to Division 2 after only one year, as in 2008, when he was knocked down in the table.
At the bottom of the table, a club from the J.League, FC Machida Zelvia, was relegated for the first time; the bottom of the table had only made his debut the year before. Instead of Machida got the champion of the Japan Football League in 2012 , V-Varen Nagasaki at the Division 2nd
