Tetsu Sugiyama ( Japanese 杉山 哲 Sugiyama Tetsu ; born June 26, 1981 in Kumamoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Sugiyama learned to play soccer on the university team at Fukuoka University . He signed his first contract with Kashima Antlers in 2004 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2012 he moved to league competitor Consadole Sapporo (today: Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo). At the end of the 2012 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2016 he became champion of the J2 League with the club and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 49 league games.
