Yūsuke Mori ( Japanese 森 勇 介 , Mori Yūsuke ; born July 24, 1980 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Mori learned to play soccer on the school team at Shimizu Higashi High School . He signed his first contract in 1999 with the Verdy Kawasaki (today: Tokyo Verdy). The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2001 he moved to the second division club Vegalta Sendai . In 2001 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club he completed 40 games. In August 2002 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of the 2003 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. In 2004 he moved to the first division club Kawasaki Frontale . In 2006, 2008 and 2009 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. For the club he completed 133 first division games. In 2011 he moved to the second division club Tokyo Verdy . For the club he completed 112 games. In 2014 he moved to league rivals FC Gifu . In 2015 he moved to third division club SC Sagamihara .
