Shōgo Nishikawa ( Japanese 西河 翔 吾 Nishikawa Shōgo ; * July 1, 1983 in Hiroshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Nishikawa learned to play football on the school team at Numata High School and the university team at Hiroshima Shudo University . He signed his first contract in 2004 with the Sanfrecce Hiroshima . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club, he completed 20 first division games. In September 2006 he was loaned to the second division side Tokushima Vortis . For the club he completed 85 league games. In 2009 he returned to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. In June 2009 he moved to league rivals Montedio Yamagata . At the end of the 2011 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . At the end of the 2014 season, the club rose again to the J1 League. For the club he completed 143 league games. In 2016 he moved to the second division club Yokohama FC .
