Cristiano da Silva , or simply Cristiano (born January 12, 1987 in Campo Mourão ) is a Brazilian football player .

Career

Cristiano da Silva started club football at Adap Galo and signed his first professional contract with Coritiba FC in 2005 . He came to CA Metropolitano in 2009 through various positions and was awarded from there to Chapecoense and EC Juventude . In October 2011 he completed a trial training session at FC Red Bull Salzburg and was able to convince coach Ricardo Moniz . For a transfer fee of 1 million euros, he moved to the Salzburg team at the beginning of December 2011 and signed a contract until summer 2015 with an option for another year. With the Salzburgers he wears the number 10 and is supposed to take over the role of playmaker.

Cristiano ended his first season with Salzburg with 15 appearances and three goals for the people of Mozart. He scored his first goal on the penultimate matchday of the season, in a 5-1 away win against SC Wiener Neustadt . And one round later he scored both goals in a 2-0 home win against FC Admira Wacker Mödling , at the same time he was champion with one team for the first time and cup winner. In September 2012 he was suspended from his club RB Salzburg and passed on to the club's farm team, FC Liefering . On January 1, 2013 he was loaned to a Japanese club in the J. League Division 2 , Tochigi SC , for one year. After the loan expired, Cristiano stayed in Japan and played for the first division club Ventforet Kofu in 2014 . At the beginning of the 2015 season, he moved on loan to league rivals Kashiwa Reysol . After the loan, he returned to Kofu in December 2015. In June 2016, Cristiano moved to Kashiwa Reysol. At the end of 2018, he had to start the path to the second class with Kashiwa. The following year he was the club champion of the J2 League and rose straight back to the first division.
